Why Donate?

When you donate to the ReStore,  it begins a cycle of support that benefits our community. Store inventory is primarily comprised of donated items, which are quickly prepped for sale and displayed on the showroom floor at deeply discounted rates for our customers. Once sold, 100% of the profits are donated to Habitat Chesapeake to cover the costs associated with providing decent, affordable homeownership opportunities to hardworking family partners in need.

For a full list of the variety of donatable items, please review our donation guidelines.ReStore team is happy to pick up large items from your home or office. Please schedule donation pickup in advance by submitting the donation form.Drop donations at any of the five store locations during business hours. Please submit the donation form in advance. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist you. Financial contributions are needed to fund operational costs, particularly those related to pick up donations.This provides a great opportunity for individuals like you to support the Habitat Chesapeake ReStore in a different way. Make your financial donation now!Please note, all contributions, including gifts of materials and time, are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. ReStore operation costs are kept to a minimum to maximize profit donated to help build homes.Each store is staffed with a minimum number of paid employees, while volunteers make up the majority of our ReStore workforce.
